Even at high temperatures, the metallic detergent system and dispersant additives maintain power and performance because they provide good control over the piston and ring deposit. CNG valve deposits are protected by good nitration resistance.

The oil is resistant to filter blockage and sludge due to its excellent thermal and oxidation resistance.

Uses of Havoline CNG:

Engines with gas-fueled (LPG and natural gas) spark ignition where conventional motor oil for passenger cars is recommended.

Engines with turbocharged and naturally aspirated gasoline in cars that require API SM oil or oils of lower performance.

API SM and lower-performance oil is specified for light truck engines.
